This site does not provide medical advice
The content is for therapeutic informational purposes only. Consult with your Doctor (GP) on all medical issues regarding your condition and its treatment. The Content is not intended to be a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. It is not a substitute for a medical exam, nor does it replace the need for services provided by medical professional. Always seek the advice of your medical professional before making any changes to your treatment. Any medical questions should be directed to your personal doctor.
You will be expected to have consulted with your medical practitioner, to have been diagnosed by and for you to have the medical support for diagnosed issues before I will consent to undertake hypnotherapy with you.
I utilise a Strategic Psychotherapy and Clinical Hypnosis approach to therapy based upon your individual needs.
Each individual responds differently so treatment plans are tailored to your specific needs, individual requirements in alignment with your expected outcomes.
There are no guarantees that any of these courses of action will solve your issues. It is my intention to help you to help yourself, by facilitating a deep awareness of what is troubling you and making you aware of cognitive skills and processes required to empower yourself to take the appropriate action.
As part of therapy, you will be asked to undertake activities after our session to cement new learnings and cognitive strategies. It is up to you to undertake these tasks to gain positive benefit and progression in your treatment and recovery.
Hypnotherapy is not a substitute for professional medical care
On no occasion should hypnotherapy, or the techniques used within, be seen as a substitute for professional medical advice. Hypnotherapy acts as a complimentary therapy, not an alternative, to professional health care and advice should always be sought from your GP or other healthcare provider.
Hypnotherapy does not work like a magic wand, although results can be achieved very quickly. You must be motivated and committed to change – undertaking homework and tasks that may be set (for example, listening to your hypnosis recording, and completing set activities). This is an essential part of the therapy process and in not doing this, the effectiveness of the therapy will certainly decrease. In other words, hypnotherapy involves commitment on your behalf.
Hypnotherapy depends largely on your overall motivation to make changes in your own life. As a result, I personally can offer no guarantees of success. You are the only one who can do this.
Ultimately, hypnosis cannot make you do anything you don’t want to do. However, what I can guarantee is that I will always endeavour to help you to the best of my abilities.
When listening to your hypnosis audio recordings you should make sure it is safe for you to do so. You should not listen while driving or operating machinery. Please seek medical advice first if you suffer from epilepsy or any mental health illness before listening to these recordings.
